This eclipse image was made in Baltimore, MD on the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine campus today. I was there giving a talk, and my host Malia Edwards graciously programmed in 45 minutes during the eclipse to go outside and see it. It was not totality like the one that we got to see in Idaho a few years ago, but it was very cool nonetheless.

I loved seeing all the people come out of the research labs using gel films to look through to see the eclipse safely. “These are my people” I thought, which might be interesting as the visit to Johns Hopkins today was truly wonderful. This place has amazing people, science, and a collegiality that was truly felt.

I’m weeks behind in posts, so more soon/later…
