I had the absolute delight of traveling down to visit my friend and colleague Jim Fadool @fadoollab at Florida State University Biology Department in Tallahassee last month. I had never been to the panhandle of Florida before and was absolutely charmed by the people and the access to the swamps, springs, and the Gulf Coast. Most of the Gulf Coast of Florida it seems is far more delightful than the urban blight and hell that is the East Coast of Florida.
I got to spend time with the students, and with wonderful faculty there doing tremendously cool fundamental biology research that made me jealous.
Thank you Jim and Debra @dfadool for being lovely hosts, and to Florida State University and its faculty and staff for a delightful visit. Looking forward to the next opportunity to spend time with you.
