As part of my visit to the Flaum Eye Institute, Center for Visual Sciences @CvsUor, University of Rochester as part of my invited talk to give a Boynton Lecture, Ruchira Singh and I were able to visit and talk about grantsmanship, research funding, balancing work and personal life, and research strategies.

Ruchira and I are both, very much interested in neurodegeneration in retina and in the rest of the brain/CNS.  Her work centers around the use of patient derived stem cells which is a very exciting approach.  I would love to continue the discussion centered around her preparations and metabolism, hopefully at the next meeting opportunity.
