Tom Johnson @ThomasVJohnson1 and I met for breakfast and coffee the morning of my last talk at Johns Hopkins, Wilmer Eye Institute a couple of weeks ago. Tom is one of the coordinators of the RReSTORe Consortium at Hopkins with the idea of restoring vision by focusing on the connections of neurons within the eye.  There are so many good ideas there from 3 dimensional retinal cultures to regeneration of retinal ganglion cells that we chatted about.  Also, it was wonderful sitting down and visiting over so many issues related to science and more. Thank you Tom!  I hope that we’ll get the chance to revisit those conversations in person more often in the future, and I’ll see you in a couple of weeks in Seattle.
