I had a chance to sit down and meet with Allen Walker from the NSF the other day, who was in town to talk with folks from the University of Utah about technology, innovation and partnerships. Allen spent 26 years in the US Army, then moved to DARPA and now the NSF, leveraging his experience and expertise in understanding complex technology related issues and their translation from the laboratory to the wider world. It was fun talking about work, and a little bit of photography to boot, and I’ll look forward to the next opportunity to visit.
