As part of my visit to the NIH, National Eye Institute last week, I had the opportunity to sit down with the new NEI Science Director, Kapil Bharti to talk the science of vision, ultrastructure, vision rescue, models of various kinds including Alzheimer’s and more. It was a delightful visit and I’m pleased that Kapil will be coming back to Utah in a couple of weeks to deliver a keynote address for Translational Research Day at the Moran Eye Center, giving us a bit more time to chat in person about various topics.
