Scleral Ultrastructure

Reviewing some data this afternoon, and I ran across a beautiful field.  This ultrastructural image of sclera, the white part of your eye was made from mouse eye at 5,000x magnification.  I love this image because it shows the layering of the collagen fibrils moving in many different directions… some in the plane of the image, some obliquely and some right in the plane of the image.
