Autumn seems to be sweeping past much faster than I would prefer, as it is my very most favorite season and I’d like to prolong this for as long as possible.
Unfortunately, I’m spending much of this autumn indoors working frantically on work-related items, as well as travel related to work and dealing with incredible IT related bureaucratic nonsense that is creating real hardships for my research program to the point where I have to wonder if it is sustainable at my current institution. This is distressing to me on a number of levels because we have built an incredible resource in connectomics that has been pioneering on the global stage, and there are about two decades of work in neuroscience and neurodegeneration that I’d like to complete before I’d feel comfortable retiring.
We’ll see what the next few months brings…
