The title of this post is borrowed from an XTC song, Senses Working Overtime which feels accurate as I endeavor to plan what is next. Whenever change is in the air, it seems like the effort and stress go up while I try and attend to the things that make for the big moments and decisions. However, the important thing at these times is to also attend to all the little moments and decisions that make up the bulk of our lives. For me at least, these little moments and decisions help mitigate the stress by allowing one’s self to take pleasure in the immediacy of the moment.
