I was absolutely tickled as always to be able to meet up with my friend Johan Pahlberg @PahlbergNIHLab @pahlberglab and share a meal on my visit to the NIH’s National Eye Institute last week.  Johan is one of those wonderful people that I always look forward to seeing, and I am delighted to say that we’ll get to hang out in Tübingen in a few weeks!

The image above is in the new Neurosciences building at NIH with that blue cantilevered structure behind Johan as the place where the retina research folks meet every couple of weeks. What a wonderful retina community there is at the NIH!
