Standing on the corner of Sunnyside and Guardsmans Way in Salt Lake City, Utah, I was reminded of this song, written in 1899 by Ada Blenkhorn, and popularized by the Carter Family in 1928. I used to hear this song when I was a kid in church down in Texas, but this song performed by the Carter Family was my introduction to a family that had an outsized influence upon bluegrass music.
