I had a wonderful chance to sit down with Katie Mack (@AstroKatie) at this year’s SciFoo conference where she delivered a wonderful talk on the Big Bang. Katie is an astrophysicist at North Carolina State University, and an amazing resource on Twitter for science outreach and public engagement who helps the public understand the complex phenomena that surrounds us.
At SciFoo, we also had a chance to discuss science funding and the importance of basic science to national and global society, and sit for this portrait. Thank you Katie, I’ll look forward to continuing the dialogue.
