This is Maria Kaimakis and Vassos Yiannouris, the chef and co-owner of Cypriana, a wonderful restaurant in Baltimore, MD that serves up the most amazing Mediterranean food you can imagine. I visited their restaurant with friends Rejji and Samer a couple weeks ago and met Maria and Vassos during our meal, learning about how the restaurant came to be and what inspired the cuisine.
I also cannot wait to get back to this restaurant to visit with Maria and Vassos and eat some of that amazing food. Try the halloumi saganaki… trust me.
