ARVO this year is virtual, which again is a disappointment. But it is the right thing to do. That makes effectively two years in a row where I have not traveled to see colleagues at our vision meetings. That said, the meetings are still productive. My talk is tomorrow in a special session on retinal degeneration and plasticity, and because of time shifting of talks, you can actually likely see far more content than I might be able to in a physical meeting. But this whole videoconference thing is getting old. I’m largely going to spend this week in back to back videoconferences.
I can’t wait to get back to in person meetings.
