My friend Michael Redmond @TMichaelredmon1 and I and I took the opportunity the day before the ISER 2023 meetings started in Gold Coast, to head out to Lamington National Forest in Queensland, Australia.

We were mainly after birds, but in addition to the superb fairywren, bush stone-curlew, Eastern yellow robin, Australian logrunner, yellow-throated scrubwren, white-browed scrubwren, Lewin’s Honeyeater, Eastern whipbird, flying foxes, pied butcherbirds, Australian ravens, willie wagtails, galahs, magpie-larks, Australian king parrots, Australian brushturkeys, crimson rosellas, red-browed finches, and more… we ran into the following creatures and scenes.
