I met Ruth Beaven at a package store in Gold Coast, Australia while looking for local beers to try. Ruth rung me up, offered some wonderful advice on local wines and beers, as well as places to dine in the Gold Coast area. We struck up a conversation over the Leica camera that I had on me, and I promised her a portrait from it which is precisely the sort of thing that I absolutely love when traveling.
