I had the very distinct pleasure of sitting down to visit with Michael Telias @TeliasLab from the Flaum Eye Institute, Center for Visual Sciences @CvsUor, University of Rochester as part of my invited talk to give a Boynton Lecture.  It is always a thrill to see good science, and I cannot wait to see what Michael can pull off with his work in retinal plasticity.  It’s been amazing to me that the field has not moved more broadly forward in understanding mechanisms of retinal remodeling, but Michael is on it now, and I think his approach is solid.

I was not sure I was going to make it on time as my flight was delayed and I had already been rebooked on a flight the following day. But I am so glad I made the extra effort to make it happen.
