Portrait: Jake Sigulinsky (In My Office)

Camera: Canon R3
Exposure: 1/160
Aperture: f/1.4
Focal Length: 35mm
ISO: 320

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Jake Sigulinsky, spouse of our postdoc Crystal Sigulinsky for a visit and a portrait session the other day.  Jake is one of those folks that not enough of us get to spend time with as his profession is financial advising.  I did not come from wealth, so my approach to money is simply to try and save more than I spend, sometimes to a fault.  I don’t get to see Jake often, especially post pandemic, but my hopes are that we’ll get back to a more civil socialization experience.

I shot this portrait of Jake with perhaps one of the best portrait lenses ever made, the Zeiss 135mm f/2 App Sonnar.  It’s almost as good as the Leica 90mm Summicron. If you shoot with an EF mount lens, try and find one of these. They are… <chef’s kiss>.
