My colleague Alapakkam P Sampath “Sam”, @apsampath3 visited the Moran Eye Center the other day to give a talk and visit with our faculty. I’ve always been a huge fan of Sam’s work and was delighted to hear his work on the lamprey retina. This is one of the retinas that I would love to integrate in an evolutionary study of retinal circuitry, if I could somehow get that work funded.
