This trip has been the first time on an airplane since my last trip back in February 2020 to WVU to give a talk. This was also my first visit back to Ann Arbor in 18 years. My last visit was giving a talk as a graduate student, and this time as a faculty member and grateful guest of my host, James Weiland.
The night before my talk, I got a surprise chance to visit with @doc_becca who was also in town giving a talk, and @katiesci who was visiting at @TronsonLab‘s home. The world really is a delightfully fun and small place at times. I’ve missed this sort of synchronicity during this pandemic, and am delighting to slowly creep out from behind it into the world again.
My thanks to all the faculty of the Kellogg Eye Center who attended the talk and met with me over the visit. I have many thoughts, and will be getting back to you on them ASAP, as well as posting a few portraits I was able to grab from the visit.
