Went for an early morning bike ride in the mountains, up behind Park City today. The color of the thistles (Carduus nutans) by the side of the trail always blows me away, and I had to stop and grab an image, just to remind me of the kind of beauty that is out there in terms of color. Yeah, these are an invasive species, and are classified as noxious in Utah, but that purple!
