  1. Okay now you’re in MY economic zip code. I could never afford all of those 911’s and Ferraris you so love. But this? Yes.

Further, modestly powered classic Hondas were the only two-wheelers that seriously competed against the Vespa I ended up buying. Specifically, the Honda Super Cub — over 100,000,000 made and counting (most of any vehicle, ever) and perhaps the most reliable and sincere vehicle ever produced. To sit on one (and pause to think how many families around the world have been lifted out of poverty by a small-engined Honda two-wheeler) is a profound experience.

I’m pretty sure just riding one makes you a better person.

    1. This comment of yours improves the whole post. I am absolutely humbled by: “To sit on one (and pause to think how many families around the world have been lifted out of poverty by a small-engined Honda two-wheeler) is a profound experience.”…

  2. Since returning from my first trip to Hanoi in March ’18, every time I’ve gotten onto my scooter I have thought about that. On my third trip to Vietnam, I rented a scooter both in rural and urban areas. That pretty much cemented the association. Thanks for the post. Made my day.

  3. Was this right by the Steiner aquatic center? I was googling pictures of Honda S90 ‘s and this was one of the first pictures to show up; and I’m like 99.9% sure this is my bike??
