Even though blood usage is not high among those infected with COVID-19, blood donations are way down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Remember that this pandemic places an additional strain on healthcare systems that are still trying to take care of all of the normal incidences of trauma, and emergency surgeries.  So, if you can, get out and donate blood as it is one of the easiest ways you can help to save lives.
