DeRay Mckesson @deray and I had a chance to sit down at ORDCamp and get aquainted. DeRay has been at ORDCamp a couple of times, but this was the first time we had a chance to visit, chatting about his growing up in Baltimore and subsequent civil rights work, and my work in vision research.
I first heard of DeRay back in 2014 or 2015 through Twitter, and watching his work expand since then has been a mix of amazement and pride in seeing how one person can have such a substantial impact for good on the lives and rights of people over such a short period of time. I am looking forward to our next conversation, DeRay. Maybe about “super seers”.
