Well, we are five days into 2020, and things are not off to a good start in terms of the wider world. We have fires in Australia and the news from there and from friends is heartbreaking. We have a POTUS who is legit insane and leading the world further into chaos, making me feel truly despondent for the near term future of a number of things, and irritated at all the drama. I just finished a conversation with a friend in the State Department and this person is considering leaving because the chaos and nonsense are simply too much with this administration. This would be a tremendous loss.
How do we move forward? One foot in front of the other and with a commitment to each other and to society and the wider world to be better human beings. How does this relate to the photo above? I have no idea. This was the first photo of 2020, and perhaps… perhaps it just says to keep looking up.
