My friend and colleague, Karen Wilcox (@kswilcox) has been honored with an award talk, and she wondered if I would shoot a formal/informal portrait of her for it.  She wanted something that was honest and reflected who she is, which is right up my alley.

Karen is a neuroscientist, and pharmacologist who studies epilepsy and the mechanisms behind the generation of seizures, and the mechanisms of resistance to anticonvulsant drugs.  She is chair of the Pharmacology and Toxicology program and is currently looking for a talented postdoc.  Get in touch with her if you are interested.
