On my last day in Cambridge, I jumped on the train to Ely to see the Ely Cathedral (@Ely_Cathedral), and a space exhibit inside the cathedral with a scale model of a suspended moon at 1:500,000 by the artist, Luke Jerram (@lukejerram). It was one of those moments where you walk into a space and immediately feel grateful for the effort made to see it.  The Cathedral itself is an amazing representation of early Norman architecture, and the exhibits put the visit over the top.

I took the behind the scenes tour with a trip to the top of the cathedral with a tour guide who delivered an amazing historical perspective on the period over which the cathedral was built. It is well worth a visit, and the time.

  1. These are amazing shots! I was here last year July and the architecture blew my mind. Ended up spending more time marveling at the exterior way more than the interior.

P/S I am also an epidemiologist and photographer but I haven’t yet brought these two universes together as well as you have.
