I met up with a colleague, Andras Lakatos (@LakatosLab) at the Optic Nerve Meeting in Obergurgl, Austria a couple of weeks ago. Andras is an interesting guy and a scientist at the University of Cambridge, in Cambridge, England. Andras is exploring astrocyte/neuron/synapse interactions using computational and organoid approaches in neurodegenerative diseases with a particular emphasis on Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. We had a great conversation and will be starting a collaboration leveraging the resources of both of our laboratories.
