As we were driving from Dublin to Belfast, I wanted to stop by Newgrange.  Unfortunately, we were late in the day and the last tour had already gone out to it.  Apparently, it has become quite the tourist destination.  My goal in seeing Newgrange is simply that it is one of the oldest structures known to man on planet Earth, being built around 3200 B.C..  The Egyptian pyramids would not be constructed for 1000 years later!

At least I got to see Newgrange with my own eyes on this trip, if even from a distance. Perhaps I’ll get up closer on the next visit to Ireland.
