This day of travel was *supposed* to end up in Finland.  I started in Belfast with a lovely train ride with breakfast! and stared out the window at the Irish countryside going by, thinking that we really need to improve the train game in the United States.  I also witnessed an amazing slice of humanity at the train stations that had me thinking I could take a month in every country, and travel by train to photograph the people and the stories from the frame of reference of a train car.

Looooong day short, I met up with David and Frans at the Dublin airport where we waited in vain for a broken aircraft that would deliver us to Finland.  Instead, we were bussed out to the outskirts of Dublin to spend a short night in a hotel before getting up early for the next stage in this travel adventure, the actual trip to Finland.
