My friend Michael Herf (@herf) flew into town to hear a talk by Samer Hattar (@shattar0429) who I was hosting. Bonus: We got to visit for the day.  Michael and Lorna (@lorna) are the people behind f.lux, a brilliant solution to make the color of your computer display adapt to the time of day.  The implications for short wavelength light on sleep and sleep cycles is likely a large component of our sleep/wake cycles, so Michael and Lorna want to build tools and infrastructure to mitigate the effects of tech upon our biology.  It’s pretty cool stuff.

I love this photo because we were talking about Michael’s family and the delight and joy that spontaneously emerged warmed my heart.
