It is that time of year when the light wavelengths stretch out and get a little warmer.  Leaves fall, hopefully slow enough to let you experience that golden light filtering through them before trees are left bare.  Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago, it was little early for the full autumn transformation in Tokyo, Japan. We saw hints of leaves changing, with some trees caught in reds and oranges, but for the most part, everything was pretty green.  That made this leaf on dark brick stand out and grab my attention.  What I loved most about this particular leaf was that I watched it for about 5 minutes as people hustled and bustled around it, actively making efforts not to step on it.  That was the magic for me in that moment. People rushing through their busy lives, past a fallen leaf on the ground, but making efforts to not step on it.
