My colleague Steven Tsang from Columbia University sat for a portrait in my office after presenting a seminar at the Moran Eye Center the other day exploring the application of genome engineering in stem cells and efforts to bring translational work in the laboratory to the clinic. I wish that we could recruit Steven to the Moran Eye Center, but failing that I am looking forward to collaborating with Steven on some interesting work in retinal metabolism.
