I shot this informal portrait of Angelica Kotliar, a model from just outside Kherson, Ukraine at the Izhmash/Kalashnikov Concern booth a couple weeks ago in Las Vegas, Nevada. The light inside convention centers is absolutely atrocious with mixed fluorescent, tungsten, halogen and xenon lighting from 40 ft overhead. Figuring out a color balance without providing your own lighting to overcome all of the other lighting is impossible, so the trick is to use what color information you have to make a black and white conversion, then throw all the color information out.
It was a pleasure to work with you Angelica. Best of luck!
