Tiger Team Funding for AMD






I was awarded a Tiger Team grant yesterday to engage in some very exciting research that has translational potential to quickly make it out of the basic science laboratory and into clinical practice for patients with age related macular degeneration or AMD. This is tremendously exciting and I thank the Moran Eye Center for the opportunity to move forward aggressively with a project and collaborators that are positioned to make a difference. With our scientific collaborators Glenn Prestwich, Tom Kennedy, Wolfgang Baehr, Cecillia Gerstner and our graduate student James Tucker, we think substantial progress over the next year is possible.
