Burrowing Owl I had the good fortune of running into Michael Redmond at ARVO when he told me about a group of burrowing owls that had taken up residence near a park in Ft. Lauderdale. Fortunately, I had time to run out early in the morning before the first sessions started on the last day to make some photographs of this group of burrowing owls. This Burrowing Owl (Athene cunicularia) was one of several that were living in Broward Regional Park.
