Bald Eagles H and I went out to Farmington Bay by the Great Salt Lake the other day to look at the bald eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) who make a stop over every year. Unfortunately, there were a number of people out on the causeway which pushed the birds out further from shore meaning that I could only use my Zeiss spotting scope and a point and shoot camera (Canon SD800) to get closer images. One of these days I'll have the means to buy a proper 500mm SLR lens, but for now, these images will have to do. ![]() ![]() Posted: Sun - February 8, 2009 at 04:30 PM |
