Red Shouldered Hawk





A Red Shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) in flight captured in Myakka River State Park from this entry. This is a lousy shot, but it was a thrilling experience because of the surprise this little raptor caused when its piercing call suddenly announced its presence as it flew past too fast for me to get the camera up in time.
