Southern Utah/Northern Arizona H and I traveled down to Southern Utah for a little mountain biking and visiting with family. Biking was done around the Snow Canyon area, but a rather interesting diversion was a trip over to the Northern rim of the Grand Canyon in the Toroweep area. This region is one of the most remote areas of the Grand Canyon and can be a bit challenging to get to. Ideally, make sure to take two vehicles capable of operating on rugged off road terrain for redundancy. Also make sure you have spare tires, spare water, and tools to help dig you out of a stick. Finally, if it has been raining, don't even bother going because of the areas of powder fine dirt and sand that will suck your vehicle in and set up like concrete. ![]() ![]() Posted: Fri - May 21, 1999 at 07:29 AM |
