So many parties, so little time The last few days have been filled with social engagements. The first party was held for a good friend of mine, Pamela Raymond who spent some time out here with the Marclab for a sabbatical. After having decided a party was in order, we wanted it to remain low key, yet delicious. We all decided that sushi would be the order of the day, yet nobody in the lab had any real experience preparing sushi. My friend Akira came to the rescue by agreeing to cater a sushi dinner for all of us. Akira prepared miso soup, chawanmushi and more of the most amazingly delicious sushi that we could eat, which is no easy feat. I provided the sake and all told it was a tremendously good time. Thank you so much Akira! ![]() The next social engagement was held at the Lund's for our good friend Ilse, who has finished her graduate work with the Lund lab and will be leaving us to go back to France for a postdoc. Congratulations Ilse and we'll look forward to hearing from you soon. ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted: Mon - April 12, 2004 at 08:04 AM |
