Orange A friend of mine from back in high school has released one of her albums on iTunes. The album was originally released back in 2003 and I gotta say, it's one of my favorites. Orange fits sorta into the alternative country genre like Wilco or Uncle Tupelo, with influences from Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and surprisingly, The Pogues and Social Distortion. All told, Orange, is a most excellent followup to Melissa's album, Emperor Norton and is seriously good listening with wonderful writing and vocals. It's always cool to hear an effort like this and it is especially sweet coming from a friend. Posted: Mon - February 20, 2006 at 01:22 PM |
