I had the wonderful good fortune to go with my friends, Michael and his daughters down to the shore to hang out and have a dip in the Tasman Sea. Coastal cities really are amazing places, but the thing that surprised me about Sydney is how many people are out not just hanging out on the beach, but in the ocean. Fishing, paddling, swimming, surfing, boating, sailing, playing, etc… Australia loves being outdoors and they love their sport which is reflected in the public gardens, parks, and beaches. I need to get back sometime and spend more time at the beach.
