Walking Home By Orion

This is not a great photo of the night sky, but it was an image of Orion, made quickly and handheld in the middle of the city as a reminder to myself to look around from time to time.  Coming home late, not eating well, not getting enough sleep or exercise is a temptation when schedules get tight and resources grow thin. When research funding becomes scarce, more and more of us in the sciences start living less healthy lives.  The obsession with grant writing becomes overwhelming and crowds out all else, including doing the actual science we got into this game to do.

Breathe In… Breathe Out…  Look around from time to time, even when it seems hard and luxurious to do so.
