My friend Dean Putney (@deanputney) and I finally got a chance to meet in real life at ORDcamp this year. Dean and I have been talking for we figured, 7 years before actually meeting in the real world. We met when he was working for Boing Boing and produced an amazing book from his great-grandfather’s WWI photographs which thrilled me. Dean in now the first software engineer at a very cool maker company, Glowforge, and I cannot wait to see where they take that company.
