Included are a few snapshots from my first ORDcamp.  ORDcamp is in the tradition of Foo camps, and this was the 10th year anniversary of ORDcamp.  These events are what you make of them, but curate a phenomenally diverse crowd of thinkers and doers who get together to discuss, present and make.  I’ve already posted informal portraits of DJ Patil, Harper Reed, Dean Putney, Kristen Marhaver, and did a post on the most amazing game of rock, paper, scissors ever.  But there were also photographs by Pete Tsai (@PeteTsai), presentations about reading and interpreting body language, delivered by a puppeteer, Mary Robinette Kowal (@MaryRobinette), to sessions on the history of food and drink, sessions on butchery, sessions on the history of the keyboard by (@mwichary) Marcin Wichary (@mwichary), and sessions on the evolution of language to phenomenal sessions that I cannot talk about.  I’m looking forward to continued conversations that resulted from this meeting on how to solve some of the political issues we are facing as a country, how to address science funding issues, and am eager to see what comes of some of the projects that we discussed and had the privilege of seeing previewed here.
