The NIH/NEI‘s Wei Li visited us at the Moran Eye Center to give a talk this week about some of his work with hibernation and ground squirrel retina.  This is a model that I’ve been interested in for a while for a number of reasons.  Because of this, Wei and I have been talking for some time about collaboration, and I’m happy to report that this is finally happening.  More on this later.
