Professor Doju Yoshikami was my first introduction to molecular neuroscience.  I took a class in molecular neurobiology as an undergraduate many years ago from Doju and Larry Okun that was simultaneously exhilarating and terrifying.  On this day, I had a chance to sit down with Doju and catch up while we sat in the sun for lunch outside a microscopy conference.

This day was also a reminder that people will remember very specific things that you said and how you carried yourself from 25 years ago with a level of detail that will astonish you.

The lesson: Always be the best human being that you can be.  Thank you Doju.
