My friend Crystal Lantz (@BoozyBrain) met up with Jenn (@ohambiguity) and I for a little project we talked about to document scientists at the Society for Neuroscience (@SfNtweets) meeting who were interested in sharing and documenting their tattoos.

In addition to being a fine human being, Crystal possesses traits I value most highly in people as she is a maker, and advocate for others.  She crafts and creates by sewing, designing, brewing and is a fierce neuroscientist who is interested in how experience and genetics shape visual system development and plasticity by looking at cell and network specific changes in visual cortex plasticity.

Crystal shared her tattoo of a needle and thread on her foot with us, representing her passion as a maker.
