Right before leaving for the Science March in Washington D.C., I dropped by the offices of TheScope Radio for an interview on science funding with Julie Kiefer (@JulieCKeifer) and Scot Singpiel (@TheyCallMeScot).  TheScope radio is a really smart podcast that brings in experts to educate, engage and lead conversation in biomedical research and medical trends.  While my interview covered the proposed White House budget from the Trump administration that was rejected by Congress, the issues related to science funding are still painfully relevant while we watch the careers of our colleagues vaporize.

I’m grateful to TheScope, Scot and Julie for the opportunity to talk about science funding, why public funding of science is important and why it is important to improve our society and health.
