One of my favorite informal portraits ever was made of Nat Torkington (@gnat) while at Google’s Mountain View campus.  Nat and I were discussing bluegrass and the vagaries of which banjo would be best for a beginner.  You see, Nat in addition to being famous for his work in the open source community, his work helping the bioinformatics communities, and his expertise in Perl, Nat is a brilliant banjo player, so I was eager to see what his recommendations were.
